Nana Organics ("we", "us", "our") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal information in line with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA) of South Africa.
1. Information we collect
We collect information you provide directly to us, including: name, email address, phone number, delivery address, and order details. When you pay online, your payment card data is collected and processed directly by our PCI-DSS compliant payment provider, Paystack — we never see or store your full card details on our servers.
2. Lawful basis
We process your personal information on the lawful bases of contract performance (to fulfil your order), legal obligation (tax and accounting records), legitimate interests (fraud prevention and service improvement) and, where required, your consent (marketing communications).
3. How we use your information
- To process and deliver your orders.
- To respond to enquiries and provide customer support.
- To send order confirmations, delivery updates and (with your consent) newsletters.
- To detect and prevent fraud, chargebacks and abuse of the service.
- To comply with legal, tax and accounting obligations.
4. Sharing of information
We share data only with service providers necessary to operate the business — Paystack (payment processing), courier and delivery partners, and email infrastructure providers. These parties are bound by their own privacy and security obligations. We do not sell your personal information.
5. Data security
We use industry-standard safeguards including HTTPS/TLS encryption, access control, and secure cloud infrastructure. Card payments are processed by Paystack on PCI-DSS certified infrastructure with 3D Secure authentication where supported by the issuing bank.
6. Data retention
We retain order, invoice and payment records for at least 5 years to comply with South African tax and accounting law. Account and marketing data is retained only for as long as your account is active or until you ask us to delete it. Anonymised analytics may be retained indefinitely.
7. Your rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, object to processing, or withdraw consent at any time by emailing hello@nanaorganics.org. You may also unsubscribe from marketing emails using the link in any newsletter. You have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator of South Africa.
